cosatto robot story cotbed review
A few weeks ago I wrote this post about our first impressions of the Cosatto Robot Story Cotbed. We had been using it as a toddler bed for Busby while her room was finished, and it was a big hit. Now that Indy is on the planet, we’ve built the cot in its full glory and so it is time to share our thoughts with you!

I’ve covered construction and bed mode in my first impressions post, so this review is of the bed in cot mode.

We love:

How bright and vibrant the cot is! It’s such a striking, beautiful piece of furniture. It looks amazing in Indy’s nursery, and gets so many positive comments from visitors. Indy also loves stroking and staring at the robots.

Teething covers on bars. Such a fantastic, ingenious feature! Indy enjoys biting anything and everything, so these are so useful to protect the cot bars from teeth marks.

Cot-top changer. Another great feature! It means that you don’t have to break your back leaning over on the floor during every nappy change. The section to hold nappies and wipes is quite large, which is great, but this means it does get in the way during a change as you have to lean over it. It would be more useful on the side of the changer.

Storage drawer. This has been so useful! Storage is always welcome, and this is a fantastic feature of the Story Cot as the drawer is huge!

Three mattress heights. SO useful! Indy is currently on the first height, but as he’s just learnt to sit up unaided, I think we will be switching the cot to the next height very shortly… just in case! You do have to take the whole cot apart to change the height, but I think this is a fairly standard procedure with cotbeds.

We love our Story Cotbed and can’t wait to keep using it as Indy grows – it should last until he’s 5 years old (and will work as a funky sofa in his room from then onwards). We’ve already used it in bed mode with Busby, which you can read it our first impressions post (link at the top).
