What Indy Wore // #WBabyWT ft George at ASDA

It’s no secret that I have a small addiction to buying clothes for the children and thoroughly enjoy dressing them! These days I take much more pleasure in dressing them than I do myself, (an issue that I’m sure will be rectified once I’m back in my pre-pregnancy clothes) and spend hours perusing some of my favourite children’s clothing sites during night feeds!

A couple of weeks ago, the lovely folk at George (of ASDA fame) got in touch and asked me to choose a week’s worth of outfits for Indy… as you can imagine I was more than a little bit excited and couldn’t wait to get choosing!

I’ve got to admit that on first glance I was rather disappointed with their selection – the boys clothes were all gender stereotypical i.e. lots of blue, and not much else, and after a nose through the girls department I was disappointed to find far too much pink… nevertheless, I did manage to find some gorgeous items for Indy, and if you follow me on Instagram you will have seen some of these over the past couple of weeks!

I’ve been very impressed with the quality of the clothes we’ve chosen; the dungarees (photo one) and the romper (photo two) in particular were so soft and will continue to be perfect throughout Winter.

As one would expect with George, the clothes are all very reasonably priced. I was especially impressed with the pack of woodland bodysuits (£7.50 for a pack of 7). Perfect for creating your first wardrobe of essentials, and not expensively sob-worthy if you have to throw away/cut your baby out of the vest following a poonami! Plus totally unisex. I’ve been teaming lots of the vest/bodysuits with funky leggings we already own to create some lovely outfits for Indy.

I love the Mr Men Mr Tickle romper (photo four)! It’s so adorable and has been very useful on the rare warm days we’ve had this summer.

The cardigan (above) is an Indy wardrobe favourite of mine! The elbow patches are ridiculously cute and it goes with anything. It’s been fantastic for popping in the changing bag and adding layers on cooler days.

The woodland socks (above) are completely adorable, and are super thick (and very soft), so they’ll be perfect for winter!

I’ve been very impressed with the clothes we were kindly gifted from George; everything has been of good quality, even the basics ranges, and I’d definitely recommend friends who are expecting to check out their local ASDA or the online shop for baby essentials at very reasonable prices! I still think that George could do more in diversifying their colours; I get so frustrated with “pink for girl, blue for boy”, as I’m sure many other parents do too.
